Since opening in 2008, our objective has been to provide more than simply somewhere to fire a rifle. The range allows stalkers to practise the shooting positions and techniques they are likely to encounter in the field.

Our full bore rifle range extends to 250 metres, providing the opportunity to practise at both conventional and extended distances.
Life-size deer and other quarry targets allow realistic shot-placement practice at 150m, 200m and 250m, all from the same firing point.
These realistic targets allow shooters to practise identifying appropriate aiming points and understanding how shot placement changes with distance and quarry size.
Target boards can also be provided at extended distances to assist with ballistic calculations, trajectory assessment and rifle set-up.

Diagnosing Rifle & Shooting Problems
At Corinium Rifle Range, we have spent many years identifying and resolving the problems that can affect rifle accuracy, shot placement and shooting performance. Sometimes the cause is straightforward: rifle zero, scope adjustment, ammunition, shooting position or technique. On other occasions, the problem can be far less obvious.

Designed for shooters who already reload their own ammunition, this session focuses on fine-tuning bullet and component selection, load development and reloading techniques to help achieve consistent and reliable results.

The SNW shooting competency certificate is required in certain German federal states for participation in driven hunts for hoofed game. If you have a driven hunt booked in Germany, we recommend checking several months before travelling whether an SNW certificate is required for your hunt and destination. Corinium Rifle Range provides the opportunity to prepare for and complete your SNW shooting competency test in a relaxed, professional and fully supervised environment.
Before the assessment, you can undertake practical training to familiarise yourself with the required shooting positions, target and scoring systems. You will then complete the recognised SNW assessment under controlled conditions.
Completing your SNW certificate in the UK before travelling to Germany allows you to prepare properly, understand the assessment requirements and demonstrate the required level of shooting competency for participation in applicable driven hunts.
An SNW certificate is valid for one year.

Thorough shooting test practice is an essential part of preparing for the DSC Level 1 and BASC Wild Boar courses. At Corinium Rifle Range, we provide dedicated, fully supervised practice sessions designed to help candidates develop confidence and consistency before undertaking their formal assessment.
We use the correct DMQ silhouette targets and replicate the shooting positions and conditions required for the relevant shooting tests. Experienced coaching is provided throughout, helping you understand the requirements and refine your technique.
Training can include practice from the different shooting positions used during the assessment, with individual guidance on rifle handling, shooting technique, stability, accuracy and shot placement.
For many candidates, practising the assessment beforehand can be invaluable. It allows you to become familiar with the DMQ shooting test format and required shooting positions, identify areas for improvement and build confidence before completing the actual test.
Whether you are preparing for DSC Level 1 or the BASC Wild Boar course, our one-to-one shooting test preparation provides a practical and supportive environment in which to develop the skills required to give yourself the best possible chance of achieving a pass.

Target ammunition may be purchased for practice in .223 at £1.50 per round, .270 at £2.50 per round, 6.5cm & .308 at £2.00 per round, and 30-06 at £2.10 per round. Please enquire for other calibres.
In line with current UK law, no one under the age of 14 may use a firearm. Those under 17 years old are not permitted to shoot with us, unless they are a current FAC holder, or a member of a Home Office-approved Club and are accompanied by their parent or legal guardian whose FAC contains the same firearm.
If you cancel more than a week ahead of the booking we will refund you or you may reschedule. If you cancel within 2-7 days of the booking we will endeavour to re-sell your slot, and if we are successful we will refund you or you may reschedule. If you cancel with less than 48hrs notice the fees are forfeit and a new booking will be chargeable.
